Dr. Guiteras obtained his M.D. degree from UNC in 1969. After an internship at McGill University, he spent two years in the U.S. Public Health Service. Following three years of family and emergency medicine experience in Washington, D.C., he opened Chapel Hill Family Medicine in 1975. Dr. Guiteras was selected by family physicians as one of America’s Best 100 Family Doctors, 2000-2006.
